Brannon's Pub and Brewery To Open In Beaverton
Finally the underserved craft beer area of Beaverton, Oregon will see their first brewpub later this year. Brannon’s Pub and Brewery is currently renovating a 10,000 square foot building that will house their pub and brewery adjacent to the Beaverton Round. The once financially doomed Beaverton Round has been seeing some recent development and Brannon’s Pub and Brewery is expected to assist in continuing this trend.
Brannon’s Pub and Brewery is founded by Oregon native Kevin Brannon, one that has a history in the beginnings of the craft beer movement here in the United States. Brannon was founder, president and CEO of Frederick Brewing Company that brought the Wild Goose line of beers to the market. Brannon stepped down when the brewery was sold to an Ohio brewery investment firm, Snyder International Brewing Group LLC. Since this time the brewery was sold to Flying Dog Brewery when they left Denver, Colorado for the east coast.
Here is more information from Brannon’s press release:
Brannon’s will brew numerous styles of beer and will serve stone hearth pizzas prepared in the Neapolitan style, spit-roasted meat and fowl, and other quality pub foods, with an emphasis on local ingredients. Brannon’s will house its brewery on site, crafting quality microbrews for beer enthusiasts of all types.
The nearly 10,000 square foot establishment is owned and operated by local entrepreneur and Oregon native Kevin Brannon, who was an early player in the U.S. microbrewing scene. From 1991 to 1999, Brannon was founder, president and CEO of Fredrick Brewing Company in Fredrick, Maryland, which he helped grow into one of the largest independently owned craft breweries in the mid-Atlantic region. After returning to the Portland area in 2001 to practice law closer to home, he founded BrannonLaw PC, a law firm focused on business transitions, mergers and acquisitions, and business financing. With this new venture, Brannon is refocusing on his true passion of craft brewing, while also using his business experience.
“I’m excited to return to my craft brewing roots and to see my vision for Brannon’s Pub and Brewery come to life,” said Kevin Brannon. “In the coming months we’ll unveil a variety of unique features at the restaurant as we prepare for our grand opening and the introduction of our Brannon’s brews to the beer loving public of Beaverton and beyond.”
With capacity to seat 200 guests inside and approximately 40 outside, and a location that’s immediately adjacent to the Beaverton Round and the future home of City Hall, Brannon’s will serve as an anchor business near the south end of Cedar Hills Blvd.
“The city of Beaverton is pleased to welcome Brannon’s Pub and Brewery to the area,” said Beaverton Mayor Denny Doyle. “This new establishment is well positioned to become a key feature in the already bustling Cedar Hills district and the Three Creeks district that we are working hard to develop.”
The project’s architect is Don Livingstone, Livingstone Studios Architecture & Planning LLC.
More information on Brannon’s Pub and Brewery will be released in the coming months, including grand opening details.
