Old Mill District 4th Annual Fermentation Celebration
|Returning to Bend’s Old Mill District is the 4th Annual Fermentation Celebration. This annual event will take place on Thursday, June 18th beginning at 4:00pm and wrapping up at 10:00pm. The Fermentation Celebration is a beer walk beer in the Old Mill District that features hop filled tastings of Bend’s numerous local breweries.
The Fermentation Celebration is a nod to Central Oregon’s amazing craft beer industry. Not only does the area’s 29 local breweries have a tremendous economic impact on the community, but also produce some of the best craft beer and cider in the world. During the celebration there will be tastings for beers, cider, kombucha and wine. Drink packages will be sold at the Ticket Mill the day of the event for $20.00.
To enjoy the event, purchase a pint glass and tickets, and meander through all 29 beer stations located throughout Powerhouse Drive in the Old Mill District (immediately across the river from the Les Schwab Amphitheater). At each station you choose to visit, you can purchase a 4-ounce taste (1 taste = 1 ticket). Full pint pours from Deschutes Brewery will be available in Center Plaza.
The Fermentation Celebration will have live music and performances from a variety of local bands/groups throughout the event, as well as Central Oregon Beer Angels, the Central Oregon Brewer’s Guild, Central Oregon Homebrewers Association, Visit Bend and more.
New for 2015 will be food vendors at the event will be serving up barbeque, dumplings, pretzels, Philly cheese steak and more.
The Fermentation Celebration is a family and pet-friendly event, but remember, the event is centered around beer. (Glass sales end at 9pm, drink ticket sales end at 9:45pm and the event ends at 10pm).
