Skamania Lodge Dine & Discover Series Kicks off with Great Notion Brewing
A new dinner series will kick off at Skamania Lodge as it welcomes in the cooler months with its new Dine & Discover Series. This new monthly dinner series will feature dinners from November 2023 through April 2024.
The Dine & Discover Series will debut on Saturday, November 4, 2023 with its collaborating partner brewery, Great Notion Brewing. This dinner and the other five will all be led by Skamania Lodge’s Chef Zac Janssen. He will artfully craft a menu that will complement each of the monthly beverage partners that also includes Valo Cellars, Wilderton Botanical Spirits, L’Ecole No. 41, Maryhill Winery, and AniChe Cellars.
On the debut Dine & Discover Series dinner, Chef Janssen will team up with Great Notion Brewing’s Certified Cicerone Tom Hayden and the brewery’s highly acclaimed beers. The two have created a menu that includes bold favors, creativity, and the finest craft beer.

Pacific Seafood Plate w/ Birra Sporgenza (Italian Pilsner, 5.1% abv)
Salted Cod Brandade| Smoked Steelhead Croquette w/ pickled mustard seed aioli | Chili-glazed charred octopus
Beer Cheese Fondue w/ West Coast Ripe (West Coast IPA, 7.0% abv)
Wagyu beef skewer, Duck pastrami, Grilled Hood River Pear & Grape
Fall Squash Salad w/ Love & Ritual (New England IPA, 7.0% abv)
Delicata squash, kabocha squash, acorn squash, puffed barley, warm-hazelnut vinaigrette, dried tart fruit.
Roasted Elk w/ Pink Sabbath (Black IPA, 6.6% abv)
Elk backstrap, wild mushroom agnolotti, maple foie gras, parmesan broth, pepita gremolata.
Harvest Crumb Cake w/ Bourbon Barrel Aged Peanut Brother 2023 (Bourbon barrel aged
Imperial Stout, 12.9% abv)
Apple crumb cake, sticky toffee sauce, coffee cake crumble, in a pumpkin.
