10 Barrel Brewing Presents Beer Wars – Bend
Returning for its yearly run to unofficially kick off Bend Brewfest, 10 Barrel Brewing will once again host its annual Beer Wars in its hometown of Bend, Oregon. For this year’s event it will see a new home as it moves from the 10 Barrel Brewpub to its new 10 Barrel Eastside Pub that is next to its production facility in Northeast Bend.
On Wednesday, August 9th from 4:00-9:00pm 10 Barrel Brewing will pour 30 different IPAs from the West Coast at its Beer Wars. Local breweries include Bend Brewing Company, Good Life Brewing, Riverbend Brewing, and others near and a far. As attendees drink the various IPAs in a blind tasting they’ll get to vote for their favorite IPA. The winner will be crowned towards the end of the event.
Admission to Beer Wars is free but to enjoy in the festivities the purchasing of a $5.00 tasting glass is required along with $1.00 beer tasting tokens each good for a 4 ounce pour. IPA voting will take place from 4:00-7:00pm. Proceeds from the event to benefit Central Oregon Veterans Outreach.
Throughout this blind IPA tasting there will also be live music from Watkins Glen (6:00-7:00pm) and World’s Finest (7:30-9:00pm).
Coming up on Saturday, August 26, 2017 will be Beer Wars – Portland,held outside of 10 Barrel Portland from 5:00-10:00pm.
