13th Annual Oregon Garden Brewfest Adds New Events For 2017
|Thirteen years strong, the Oregon Garden Brewfest returns to Silverton’s beautiful The Oregon Garden this Father’s Day weekend from June 16-18, 2017. Presented by Venti’s Restaurants this year’s fest will add camping, an artisan vendor market and a Father’s Day 5k run to its festival itinerary.
Last year the Oregon Garden Brewfest moved its festivities outdoors to its Rediscovery Forest, a large wooded section that allows attendees to explore its 80-acre property with a beer in hand. The response for this move was very positive and organizers will continue this setting as we approach the festival weekend that will see 120 choices of beer, cider and meads from 60 makers.
The Oregon Garden Brewfest will take place on Friday from 3:00-11:00pm, Saturday from Noon-11:00pm and on Sunday from Noon-6:00pm. Beyond the 120 beverages pouring there will be local food carts throughout the weekend, along with an artisan market featuring local vendors selling handmade goods. Bands from across the region will be performing live each day of the event.
Festivities will officially kick off on the eve of the festival when the 6th annual Brewer’s Tasting Dinner takes place on Thursday, June 15th at 7:00pm. Held at the Oregon Garden Resort, the dinner will feature six Oregon breweries that includes Agrarian Ales, Burnside Brewing Co., Gilgamesh Brewing, Mazama Brewing Co., Pelican Brewing Co., and Wolf Tree Brewery. There are a limited number of tickets available to the public at $60; tickets and more information are available at here.
Then on Sunday, June 18th, the inaugural Father’s Day 5K Run will take place at The Oregon Garden. The run will take place fully inside the 80-acre setting and runners will receive admission into the festival, a t-shirt and a full glass of beer after the run.
“We’re so excited to announce all of these unique additions to our annual Oregon Garden Brewfest,” says Sara Hammond, regional marketing manager for The Oregon Garden in a release. “We’re always looking for new ways for guests to experience the Garden, and camping and our Father’s Day 5K will encourage them to venture and explore more areas than they ever have before.”
The Oregon Garden is offering 150 campsites, located on its property, just a short walk from the event. Guests can choose between walk-in sites, RV sites and car-camping sites. Camping starts at just $120, and requires purchase of a 3-day festival pass. Keeping with the festival feeling, community campfires will invite guests to gather around and enjoy the evening.
Throughout the weekend there will be live music. Here’s the lineup.
