8th Annual Samuel Smith Salute Returns May 17-19, 2018

Now eight years strong, Samuel Smith Salute returns to the United States from May 17-19, 2018. This annual event celebrates that legacy of Yorkshire, England’s oldest brewery, Samuel Smith’s Brewery. Founded in 1758, The Old Brewery at Tadcaster is one of the last remaining independent breweries in England.

The 8th annual Samuel Smith Salute will feature an new Facebook Live Event on Friday, May 18th, at 1:00pm PST. This Facebook Live Tasting will feature an live Q&A and toast with Samuel Smith III. Sam will be tasting and discussing beers from the line of Samuel Smith’s as well as taking questions from attendees from around the US.

To follow at home on Friday, the Samuel Smith tasting lineup will include the following beers in order – Samuel Smith’s Pure Brewed Organic Lager; Samuel Smith’s Nut Brown Ale; Samuel Smith’s Taddy Porter; Samuel Smith’s Oatmeal Stout; and Samuel Smith’s Organic Perry (sparkling pear cider). Oregon City, OR; Monday, May 14 -Monday May 21, 2018:  The Highland Stillhouse, at 201 S. Second St., will be featuring Samuel Smith’s Organic Raspberry; Organic Strawberry, Orgainc Cider, Taddy Porter, Oatmeal Stout, and Nut Brown Ale for the Samuel Smith Salute.

Bend, OR; Thursday, May 17, 2018: McMenamins – Old St. Francis School Pub, at 700 NW Bond St; join MdV as we will have a representative on hand to pour draft samples of Nut Brown Ale. From 5:00 – 9:00 pm.

Portland, OR; Friday, May 18, 2018: Belmont Station, at 4500 Stark St., will Salute Samuel Smith wioth Nut Brown Ale on draft plus many bottled styles, and a video Salute! 7:30 pm.

Portland, OR; Friday, May 18, 2018: County Cork Public House, at 1329 NE Fremont St., Salutes Smuel Smith with Oatmeal Stout and Nut Brown Ale on draft; a beer-in-hand dart tournament -“3 darts/best wins.” 8:00 pm.

Seattle, WA; Thursday, May 17, 2018: The Whisky Bar, at 2122 2nd. Ave., will host a kickoff event for Samuel Smith’s Salute in Seattle on May 17th featuring a “passport” of Samuel Smith’s beers to delight your taste buds and showcase the breadth of amazing beers from Yorkshire’s Oldest Brewery. Passports will be available during all of Samuel Smith’s Salute (May 17th to 19th) or till they run out! A Seattle Beer Week (May 10 – 20) event.
