Bailey’s Taproom Announces Beer List For Its 10th Anniversary Block Party

To close out the last Saturday in July, Bailey’s Taproom will celebrate its tenth anniversary with its 10th Anniversary Block Party on July 29th from Noon-11:00pm.

Beginning at Noon, Bailey’s Taproom will be closing down SW Ankeny, on the north side of the taproom to allow for ample room for the daylong festivities. Here there will be ample beer pouring both inside Bailey’s and outside in the block party. Then upstairs at The Upper Lip there will be six additional beers pouring with a special VIP party from Noon until 3:00pm. Unfortunately the VIP tickets are already sold out but at 3:00pm The Upper Lip will open up to all.

When it comes to the beers for this anniversary the team at Bailey’s spent the past year collaborating with 13 Oregon breweries on some one off offerings. The list of collaborating breweries include Alesong, Block 15, Breakside, Culmination, Ex Novo, Flat Tail, Gigantic, Heater Allen, Laurelwood, Logsdon, pFriem, Upright and Minimus, and Yachats. All 13 of these beers will be on draft throughout the day on Saturday and many will be available to go in bottles and cans as well.

Last fall Bailey’s Taproom launched its Hausbier program and is now about to tap its third beer in this revolving series. The first beer was from The Commons and the second beer was from Flat Tail. With its third offering the crew at Bailey’s enlisted Block 15 Brewing for Hoptonize IPA.

Hopnotize IPA Description:
This sunny IPA was designed as the summer edition for Bailey’s Taproom’s Hausbier program. Its generous hopping with a captivating blend of citrusy varietals imparts notes of lemon, lime, tangerine, and grapefruit. A unique Pilsner-based grist makeup and fermentation with English ale yeast combine to contribute a crisp, drying mouthfeel with just enough body to round out this bright, refreshing IPA. 6.25% ABV

During this day Bailey’s will tap Firestone Walker Anniversary Ale – Vintages 14th-18th. This sounds like an excellent way to prepare for the big block party the following day!
