Mac & Jack’s To Host its 30th Anniversary Celebration
Thirty years ago, Mac Rankin and Jack Schropp, founded Mac & Jack’s Brewery in Schropp’s garage outside of Seattle in Redmond, Washington. The duo was one of the original founding breweries of the modern craft beer era. Through the years, Mac & Jack’s has produced some of Washington’s most well beloved beers. The brewery is best known for its Mac & Jack’s African Amber Ale, a beer that is still a staple on tap lists across the Pacific Northwest.
To celebrate this three decade milestone, the brewery will host its Mac & Jack’s 30th Anniversary Celebration over Labor Day Weekend on Saturday, August 31, 2024. The daylong celebration will take place from Noon – 4:00pm with plenty of beer, live music, food and plenty of fun activities. Food will be available from three different food trucks: Impeckable Chicken, The Hungry Herbivore (for vegetarian choices), and Tandem Seafood.
The first-ever Mac & Jack’s Fun Run will be a 0.2k dash with memorabilia available for all who participate. The 0.2k dash starts at 2:00pm, with a full race length of 674 feet long, possibly one of the shortest fun runs ever measured.
Anniversary party tickets are now on-sale. An Adult Ticket is $20.00 and includes a value that is well worth the price of admission. Patrons will received two draft pints, a plate of food from one of three visiting food trucks, a Mac & Jack’s 30th Anniversary t-shirt, and a 6-pack of its special 30th Anniversary Beer. That’s a steal! For those under 21 years of age, their admission is $10.00 and includes a N/A beverage and a plate of food from one of three visiting food trucks.
