Mayfly Taproom Hosts 4th Annual Kölsch Fest
The 4th Annual Kölsch Fest returns to Mayfly Taproom and Bottle Shop this coming weekend. Taking place from Friday, August 23 – Sunday, August, 25, the three day event will bring together a dozen locally brewed Kölsch style beers served with a warm pretzel.
“Kölsch Fest is one of our favorite and most anticipated events of the year,” said Ryan Born, owner of Mayfly Taproom and Bottle Shop. “It’s a great opportunity to showcase the incredible talent of our local breweries and bring the community together for a fun and memorable experience.”
This year’s Kölsch Fest will feature a unique blind tasting competition, where attendees will sample 12 Kölsch style beers from the following regional breweries.

During the event, participants will vote for their favorite Kölsch style beer in a series of rounds. Each ticket includes a commemorative .3L Stange glass, a hot pretzel with German mustard, and the opportunity to win a $10 gift certificate to Mayfly by correctly guessing the brewery behind their top choice.
In addition to the beer tastings, Kölsch Fest will feature a lineup of local food vendors to keep attendees fueled throughout the weekend. Demarco’s Subs will be on-site Friday and Saturday, offering its regular menu along with a special Schnitzel Spaetzle dish. On Sunday, Briel’s BBQ will serve its full BBQ menu, featuring a special housemade smoked bratwurst.
Kölsch Fest Hours:
- Friday, August 23rd: 5 PM – 10 PM
- Saturday, August 24th: Noon – 10 PM
- Sunday, August 25th: Noon – 8 PM
