Victoria Beer Society Announces Return of Victoria Beer Week in 2022
UPDATE: The 2022 Victoria Beer Week is postponed until April 1st – 9th!
The annual Victoria Beer Week will return in early March 2022 to the capital city of British Columbia. The 8th annual festival that celebrates Victoria’s craft beer culture returns after 2 years from March 4-12, 2022.
Hosted by the Victoria Beer Society, this coming year’s VBW includes a mix of 12 events over 9 days. The week opens with Lift Off! on Friday, March 4th and closes out with Touchdown! on Saturday March 12th, both at a new flagship venue for the VBS, the Powerhouse.
Tickets are now on sale online for many of the events at victoriabeersociety.com or in person at the Victoria Beer Society Headquarters located at 2725 Rock Bay Avenue.
New events include Pint Sized Stories with Paper Street Theatre & Wes Borg, the finale event Touchdown! a variety type show never been done before by VBS, and a few new Beer Schools for those true craft beer lovers. The full schedule will be announced in the coming month.
Members of the Victoria Beer Society receive a variety of benefits including discounted tickets to Lift Off!, Taco the Town, Barrels & Beer, and Touchdown!. Holiday Promotion & Pop-up Shop
The Victoria Beer Society is also offering a special promotion for the holiday season: “Give the Gift of Beer,” which includes a membership to the Victoria Beer Society for 2022 and an exclusive illustrated “Beer People” t-shirt. The package costs $35 and is available through the VBS website or in store at the Victoria Beer Society Headquarters (2725 Rock Bay Avenue). Currently, the VBS Headquarters has also installed a BC Beer Merch pop-up shop featuring both local and out-of-town brewery swag. This pop-up shop will stay open in the New Year leading up to Victoria Beer Week.
Current Provincial Health Orders
As of December 17th, 2021 a new Provincial Health Order is in place until January 31st 2022. We will keep our attendees updated on event status if this health order is extended. We will comply with any public health orders in effect at the time of our events and adjust events if/as necessary based on the rules in effect. All attendees will be required to show proof of full vaccination in order to attend any of the events during Victoria Beer Week. As per the PHO, individuals are considered fully vaccinated 7 days after their second dose. This vaccine passport must be scannable with the BC Vaccine Card Verifier app.
