As we approach the final weekend of the year, a handful of taprooms and breweries will be hosting New Year’s Eve celebrations. This includes celebrations at Level Beer, Living Háus Beer Co., Gorges Beer Co., Vice Beer, 10 Barrel Brewing – Eastside, Threshold Brewing and more!

Also taking place this weekend is the 16th anniversary of Roscoe’s. To celebrate, the bar will be hosting an Anniversary Beer Summit that’ll feature some of the freshest beers around alongside some vintage offerings that are sure to please your taste buds.

Binary Brewing Free Geek Fundraiser

BinaryBrewing.co will host a fundraiser party for Free Geek, a local nonprofit, with live music, food specials, raffle prizes, and more for this charity event. The brewery will be donating all devices collected from the month long Devices for Draft drive to Free Geek. Ten percent of food sales from MegaBites, the from-scratch kitchen inside BinaryBrewing.co, will also be donated to Free Geek on the day of the event.

BinaryBrewing.co’s Devices for Draft promotion invites patrons to donate an old phone or laptops in exchange for a $1 pint. The brewery will continue accepting donations until December 31st. These outdated and broken devices that would otherwise get thrown away are being donated to Free Geek.

Chill N Fill Comedy

Chill N Fill returns with its Comedy Showcase that takes place every Thursday evening. This week’s lineup of comedians includes Seth Allen, Steven Wilber, and Kayla Evans.

Roscoe’s 16th Anniversary

Sixteen years ago, Jeremy Lewis and Quyen Ly founded Roscoe’s in Portland’s Montavilla neighborhood. During this time, Roscoe’s has become one of the Rose City’s top beer bars and this holiday weekend, it’ll celebrate its 16th Anniversary.

The recently opened Fracture Brewing will host an evening celebrating New Year’s Eve and is one brewery taproom staying open until Midnight here on the West Coast. Fracture Brewing’s Taproom will be serving up its beer and some creative cocktails. There will be a champaign toast at Midnight and DJ 8Flat will be spinning hip-hop, dance and house music throughout the evening.

Ring in the New Year on East Coast time at Vice Beer when they host East Coast New Years on the West Coast. There will be a special toast and DJ SlimKid3 from ThaPharcyde will spinning from 7:00-9:30pm!

Gorges Beer Co. New Year’s Eve Party

Celebrate New Year’s Eve in Cascade Locks at Gorges Beer Co. as they will ring in the New Year with Tony Smiley when he takes the stage at 9:00pm.

Prior to the performance, Gorges Beer Co. will host a dinner that includes prime rib and horseradish sauce, au gratin potatoes, brussels sprouts and butterscotch pudding. There is a vegan offering as well that includes portobello and spinach wellington and squash puree.

There will also be a photo station, dance floor, champagne toast, and balloon drop at midnight!

Ring in the New Year in Bend at 10 Barrel Brewing – Eastside. They’ll be welcoming in the New Year in roaring ‘20s style. To enhance this year’s 1920s speakeasy theme, 10 Barrel will ease into the evening with live tunes from the Summit Express Jazz Band, followed by a proper DJ dance party. Expect crisp champagne, decadent finger foods, casino games, prizes and your favorite 10 Barrel beers. And before you ask—yes, there will be champagne Jell-O-shots.

Threshold Brewing NYE Polska

Montavilla’s Threshold Brewing will host a NYE Polska at its brewery. They’ll be hosting their favorite Polish band Zabavva and guest DJ Andrzej while serving up a special menu of Polish Bigos aka Hunter’s Stew. Threshold will also be tapping Midnight Runner IIPA and will toasting with Champagne or a Grodziskie at midnight!

Get the New Year started off with a dip in the Columbia River when Gorges Beer Co. hosts its 2nd Annual New Year’s Polar Bear Plunge.

Polar Bear Plunge Schedule:

10:00 – Course 1: Honey Greek yogurt, House made granola, Blackberries + Hot Drink: Hot Buttered rum, Spanish Coffee, Peppermint Patty, hot Cocoa or Coffee

10:45 – March to the beach with Cascade Locks Fire & Bagpipes

11:00 – PLUNGE!

11:30 – Course 2 (Buffet): Bacon, scrambled eggs, house-made biscuits and country potatoes

11:40 – Beer Taster

Attendees will have access to the city pavilion to warm up right after the plunge and then the group will all hustle back to Gorges for food and drinks and to warm back up! Cascade Locks Fire/EMS and PNW Rescue teams will be on site as well (mostly for moral support)!
