Pickathon Returns to Pendarvis Farm From August 3–6, 2023
|Portland’s original music festival, Pickathon, returns to Happy Valley’s Pendarvis Farm this weekend for four days of music, art, food, drink and much more! Pickathon 2023 kicks off on Thursday, August 3 and continues through Sunday, August 6, 2023.
Each year Pickathon bring forth an eclectic musical lineup that crosses many genres but somehow manages it to coalesce with each performance. Held just 16 miles outside of Portland on the sprawling Pendarvis Farm, Pickathon is a true experience that brings more than just music to your ears as the farm is full of visual surprises.
But it’s just not music that brings the thousands of attendees together each year as the festival is also full of art, comedy, literature, wellness, food, drink and much more!
“Reinventing Pickathon last year around the concept of integrating music, arts, and culture into the natural settings of Pendarvis Farm was an incredible endeavor,” says Pickathon founder Zale Schoenborn. “2023 not only presents our best lineup ever, but now we understand the new Pickathon Neighborhoods even better, and we’re excited to refine all the details to make this year our most immersive experience to date. I can’t wait for everyone to join us at Pendarvis Farm!”
Pickathon pioneered the zero-waste, green festival and continually sets new standards of sustainability. This year the organizers have taken this to the next level by partnering with Toyota Racing Development to be the very first music festival to use a hydrogen fuel cell generator to power its stages.
Based on Hydrogen Fuel Cell technology developed for the Toyota Mirai road car, this one-of-a-kind generator will make its music festival debut at Pickathon, powering multiple stages and equipment with the only emissions being clean air and pure water.
Speaking of music, the 2023 edition of Pickathon will be headlined by indie roots powerhouses Watchhouse, old-school soul icon Lee Fields, alt-glam band Dehd, indie-folk superstar Madison Cunningham, and Zambian psych rockers W.I.T.C.H.
But that’s not all as Pickathon has curated a musical lineup that’s enticing to explore and find your new favorites! Here’s the daily schedules for Pickathon 2023.
To get ready for the bands playing Pickathon this year, the festival has curated a Pickathon 2023 Playlist. These playlists are available on Spotify and YouTube.
But Pickathon is more than just music as it also features a well curated lineup of craft beer, mainly from local breweries. The craft beer lineup will be from New Belgium, Via Beer, Little Beast, Hopworks, Widmer, Ninkasi, Ferment Brewing, Fort George Brewery, 10 Barrel Brewing, Gigantic Brewing, Migration, Crux Fermentation, pFriem, Zoiglhaus, Ruse Brewing, and Laurelwood Brewing.
When it comes to cider, look for offerings from Bend Cider, Swift Cider, Portland Cider, Reverend Nat’s Hard Cider, and Double Mountain. Plus, there will be wine and spirits available all four days in addition to plenty of non-alcoholic beverages.
Tickets are still available for Pickathon, which is a bit strange, as usually this festival sells out fairly early on. But just with other events, people are a bit more selective on where they spend their money. And Pickathon is a festival that will see you spend a bit more.
Single day tickets begin at $195 and a full festival pass will now set you back $440. To purchase tickets, visit pickathon.com/tickets/.
