Celebrate 28 Years of Stone Brewing with Stone 28th Anniversary Hazy Double IPA
Debuting in 1996, Stone Brewing will celebrate its 28th Anniversary Celebration this fall at its flagship brewery in Escondido, California, just outside of San Diego. Int preparation for this milestone, the brewery has just released Stone 28th Anniversary Hazy Double IPA in cans and on draft that’s now available nationwide.
Over the past 28 years, the craft beer landscape has changed and goes through various cycles. However, one thing that has remained constant is the industry’s appreciation of hops and Stone Brewing is no stranger to this. For this year’s anniversary beer, Stone Brewing showcases just two hop varieties, Mosaic and Nelson Sauvin. But, by carefully selecting the very best of these varieties, a beer of anniversary prestige was crafted.
“We are fortunate to be able to purchase the best ingredients in the world,” expressed Jeremy Moynier, Sr. Manager of Brewing & Supply Chain, in a statement. “When you open a box of Nelson Sauvin hops, you can smell its distinctive fruity aroma from across the brewery. Mosaic provides some structure, citrus, and dankness to the brew. This one was hands-down deserving of the coveted anniversary beer label.”
Stone 28th Anniversary Hazy Double IPA is a bold IPA that sits at 8.5% ABV and 48 IBUs. It pours a dark gold appearance with a bit of haze and a thin white head. Aromas of mango, pineapple, caramel, and lime leaf feel the senses. This leads into a flavor profile of fresh mango, sweet aromatic orange cream, marmalade, and lime. This beer is available nationwide in 12oz six-pack cans and on draft.

In further celebration of Stone’s anniversary, the brewery’s annual invitational beer festival returns! Drawing fans from across the country, the Stone 28th Anniversary Celebration will take place at Stone’s flagship brewery in Escondido, CA on Saturday, November 2, 2024.
