Firestone Walker Debuts Firestone California IPA in Before Glory IPA Mixed Pack
The slogan at Firestone Walker Brewing has been Beer Before Glory and it is a statement that the brewery lives by. For the past two decades the brewery has been producing some of the finest IPAs in the world and this tradition continues with its latest release, Firestone California IPA.
This new IPA can be found exclusively in the new Beer Before Glory IPA Mixed Pack. Joining Firestone California IPA is the highly anticipated return of Luponic Distortion IPA; the Cold IPA phenomenon known as Hopnosis; and Union Jack, the West Coast IPA icon. Each beer is brewed at Firestone Walker’s solar-powered brewery in Paso Robles on California’s Central Coast. The Beer Before Glory IPA Mixed Pack is now rolling out to all Firestone Walker markets.
“This pack captures the story of the West Coast IPA, as told by Firestone Walker,” said Brewmaster Matt Brynildson. “It reminds us of where we came from as a California brewery, and it also reflects where we’re headed next.”
Firestone Walker was founded by brothers-in-law Adam Firestone and David Walker in 1996. Within 10 years, the craft beer revolution was well underway, sparked largely by the surging popularity West Coast IPAs, including Firestone Walker’s Union Jack. Ever since, the West Coast IPA style has been marked by continual innovation and evolution—a phenomenon reflected in the four beers featured in the Beer Before Glory IPA Mixed Pack.

Firestone California IPA
The all-new Firestone California IPA is a future-forward beer born of West Coast roots and Firestone Walker flair. This is a beer that draws from the brewery’s nearly 20 years of experience with the ever-evolving West Coast IPA style. Various tricks learned from brewing Union Jack, Luponic Distortion and Hopnosis have been incorporated into a single beer that rings all of the bells of a modern California IPA. Liberally dry-hopped with Mosaic and Strata hops, Firestone IPA is loaded with fresh passionfruit and mango flavors that keep you coming back for more. Luponic Distortion
Luponic Distortion is the Firestone Walker trailblazer that continues to break the rules, back for the first time since 2021. The classic Luponic Distortion base recipe returns with an all-new hop blend to deliver a fresh blast from the past. Brewed with a secret blend of new-age hops, the 2024 edition of Luponic Distortion turns up the volume with mind-bending flavors of lychee, peach, nectarine and strawberry. Hopnosis: Cold IPA
Hopnosis is the culmination of Firestone Walker’s quest to master the Cold IPA style. Brewed with Mosaic Cryo Hops®, Hopnosis is a seamless, aromatic and explosively tropical beer, employing Cold IPA brewing techniques to create an ultimate new-school expression of a West Coast IPA. The resulting beer delivers pure hop character with minimal bitterness, loaded with flavors of mango, passionfruit, white grape and lychee. 6.7% ABV
Union Jack: West Coast IPA
