McMenamins Breweries October 2022 Beer Releases
In time for Halloween, McMenamins has three beers hitting the shelves of its 50+ locations in the coming days. The three releases include a few fall classics from McMenamins and a new pastry stout that’s perfect for the shorter days and cooler nights ahead!
These beers include Black Widow Porter and Lord Gourd Barrel Aged Pumpkin Pie Stout that are already available and the forthcoming Unleash the Kraken Double Hazy IPA that’ll be released on Saturday, October 29.
Here’s a rundown on all three beers with descriptions provided by McMenamins.
Black Widow Porter
Originally created at the Thompson Brewery over 21 years ago on October 15, 1991, Black Widow has become an expected and welcome Halloween treat at McMenamins. This dark, smooth ale is packed full of the robust notes afforded by generous amounts of roasted grains and further spirited with ethereal wisps of caramel and licorice. Our brewers have made this year’s batch of Black Widow Porter, and it will be available in cans and on tap at all McMenamins locations for a limited time.

Lord Gourd Barrel Aged Pumpkin Pie Stout
Lord Gourd, the merry prankster, will lure you into the wood with his mischievous ways and delightfully toasty aromas of vanilla and pumpkin pie. This blend of our oak barrel-aged Black Widow Porter and Longest Night Barley wine Ale conjures the crunching of leaves, autumn bonfires and warm gatherings.
