Migration Brewing Beer Releases: Beer for Deer, Hop Fire Vol. 3 and More!
As we enter the month of December, Migration Brewing has a handful of new beer releases, including a collaboration with the Oregon Wildlife Foundation. Available now are Beer For Deer, Hop Fire Vol. 3, Frankie Imperial Stout, and Westward Frankie Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout.
Here’s a breakdown on all four new beers as provided by Migration Brewing…
Beer for Deer: Another special collaboration, this clean fermented lager exhibits hints of candy sweetness derived from light caramel malts in a partnership celebrating the mule deer, a brand new license plate, and an excellent partner in the Oregon Wildlife Foundation. A small dose of darker malts helps to create a reddish hue while also giving a hint of raisins and dates with a note of well toasted bread. Available on tap and in package now.

Hop Fire Vol. 3: Brand new in November, the next great release in what’s shaping up to be an amazing line of bold brews, paired with sweet tunes to create the complete beer drinking experience! Vol. 3 features Phantasm (made of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc grape skins to create a unique aroma that bursts from the glass. Migration is the first U.S. brewery to use Kohia Nelson hops, which is a blend of freeze-dried passionfruit combined with high-thiol producing hops), and an expression of passionfruit, mango and guava notes to give this hazy double IIPA a serious punch. Available on draft and in 4-packs of 16oz. cans now.
ABV 9.4 | IBU 22
Frankie Imperial Stout for 2021: Named after one of our founders’ beloved pups, Frankie is an annual release that everyone goes wild for. Built on the backbone of an imperial Russian stout meets Belgian yeast, this one is brewed very dark and features a high malt character with plenty of alcohol. In every sip, you’ll discover flavors of roast, chocolate, and burnt malt, with the Belgian yeast offering a unique spin. Frankie won the 2017 Silver medal at the Denver International. Available on draft and in 4-packs of 16oz. cans now.
ABV 11.8 | IBU 60
Westward Frankie Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout for 2021: Highly collectible in bottles and perfectly fine to stockpile in your cellar, the 2021 release of this amazing, ongoing collaboration sets a new high water mark. With the bold aroma of whiskey and vanilla, this strong beer demands to be had during cold winter months. The slight tannic structure imparted by the oak barrels within which Frankie was aged helps to complement the dark fruit (figs/raisins), bittersweet chocolate, and espresso notes that are very much alive in every pour. Available on draft now; Bottle release in mid to late December.
