Session Cream Summer Ale from Full Sail Brewing
|
Hood River, Oregon – Next in Full Sail Brewing’s Session Series lineup is the newly released Session Cream Summer Ale. It’s a classic American beer in a classic American bottle just in time to celebrate American Craft Beer Week (May 11-17). This golden ale has a creamy head and a smooth, sweet disposition – just the ticket on a hot summer’s day. Session Cream Ale pours with a rich golden hue with aromas of citrus and herbal hops backed with a smooth malty/sweet mid-palate, finishing cleanly with hints of citrus and caramel. I scream, you scream, we all scream for Session Cream! Session Cream is available in 12-packs and on nitro-draft all summer long. ABV 5.4%, IBU 26.
“Ten years ago Full Sail introduced Session Lager reflecting our view that beers should be inclusive and celebrate camaraderie without extremes or gimmicks,” said Irene Firmat, Full Sail Brewing Company’s CEO & Founder. “Grateful that many beer lovers agree with us, and with ‘sessionable’ beers suddenly all the rage, there’s never been a better time to expand Session’s universal appeal. Our new Session Series gives Session fans three additional ways to enjoy ‘Session-ability’ as their tastes (and the weather) change.”
Since their 2005 launch, Full Sail’s Session beers have earned a slew of shiny awards and trophies including 35 gold medals. Recently, Full Sail’s Session lagers swept the 2014 World Beer Championships with each beer earning top honors including a gold medal for both Session Premium Lager and the newly released Session Export. Session Fest, Session Black and Session IPA were honored with silver medals. After all, why have a beer when you could have a Session?

Re: draft, is it meant to be Nitro? I’m asking because I had a growler fill of this a couple weeks ago (remember when we had summer temps?) and I’m positive it was on regular CO2 draft. It was really good either way, just curious.
My understanding of a beer that is poured on nitro is that it is not recommended to be poured into a growler. The beer will lose many of its qualities along with a much shorter shelf life of the beer.
Yes, I have the same understanding, but I know this particular fill was off a CO2 tap, that’s why I was wondering if they had two versions or maybe the keg/taproom was mislabeled. The beer did taste as described though.
PS. are you the sole writer at Brewpublic now? I’ve seen your name on every article for a while now.
We heard back from Full Sail Brewing and they did keg some of the new Session Cream Summer Ale with CO2.
If you put crappy beer in a cute bottle, apparently it will sell well. That seems to be the strategy with the Sessions line up, from a syrupy sweet lager to an IPA that tastes like battery acid. I’m sure this one will do well.
