Shiner Beers Introduces ¡Órale!, a Mexican-Style Lager with Agave
|The famous brewery for Shiner, Texas has just launched a new Mexican-Style Cerveza that’s known as ¡Órale!. Spoetzl Brewery, the maker of Shiner Bock, now ventures into the trendy and rapidly growing Mexican-Style Lager category with this new offering in 12oz cans and bottles.
The name Órale comes from the Mexican term of an interjection used to express approval or a call to action. With the beer, ¡Orale!, it’s a rallying cry for a perfect time spent with friends over a satisfying sessionable cerveza.
¡Órale! is crafted with premium 2-row malt and Lager yeast and brewed with agave. It pours a clear, light gold color with a foamy white head that dissipates fairly quickly that is followed up with aromas of malted barley. ¡Órale! is full of light bodied, malty flavors with a slightly sweet finish that is likely from the added agave.
In all a pleasant Mexican-Style Lager that sits at 4.5% ABV. ¡Órale!can be paired with seasonal favorites such as tacos, hamburgers and hot dogs, BBQ, cheese plates and more.
“I am thrilled at the opportunity to combine my Mexican heritage with a Mexican style lager bearing the Shiner label and the Spoetzl Brewery’s commitment to quality,” says Carlos Alvarez, CEO of The Gambrinus Company in San Antonio, TX, who acquired the Spoetzl Brewery in 1989. “I know Shiner fans will enjoy ¡Orale! – a word that expresses so much in the Spanish language.”
Shiner’s ¡Órale! is now available in 6-and 12-pack cans and bottles at a more affordable $8.99 suggested retail. For more information on Shiner Beer and its full portfolio, visit www.shiner.com.
Not sure if this great tastey new Mexican style Órale Shiner Lager beer is the same as the Verano Mexican style Shiner. Nevertheless, this Órale beer is smooth and slightly sweet with no strong or bitter after taste. The best tasting Latino beer I’ve had is Toña from Nicaragua and also an excellent Lager beer. Őrale is up there with Toña, easily both neck and neck a 9+ out of 10! Way to go Texas Shiner, “Órale para el Verano! 🍺🍻
