On its latest IPA, Stone Brewing utilizes the new Zumo hops to brew up the new Stone Zumology IPA, a beer that is described as offering monstrous levels of citrus zest!

In brewing Stone Zumology IPA, the brewers at Stone partner with various hop growers to breed and experiment with new varieties of hops, including the latest, Zumo, from Segal Ranch in Grandview, Washington. Named after the Spanish word for citrus zest, the Zumo hop offers a vibrant lime characteristic.

For Stone Zumology IPA, Stone’s brewers put Mosaic hops in the backseat for a change, which truly elevated Zumo’s refreshing zestiness. It starts off with aromas of lime candy. Flavors of lime, lime zest and melon give way to a nice dankness on the finish. It’s smooth and slightly sweet with mild bitterness. Stone Zumology IPA is 7.5% ABV. It’s no sci-fi man-eating plant, but Zumo’s fierce flavor is remarkable and Stone Zumology IPA is just the evidence we needed.
