KillerBeerFest at Bailey's Taproom on Saturday

Each and every year during Killer Beer Week we look to our favorite downtown taproom to host our all out anniversary bash, KillerBeerFest. And for the sixth consecutive year, Brewpublic has paired up with our friends at Bailey’s Taproom on Saturday, October 25th, to rock the KillerBeerFest.

For twelve straight hours from Noon to Midnight, more than 20 taps of the kind of beers that beer tickers, geeks, and all around lovers of one-offs look for. Granted, it is getting harder and harder with each passing year with more and more events pushing into the craft brew landscape, but that is just a win for us all!

We have worked with brewers far and wide to put together the most superb taplist available on this fine day (and one of the best lineups of the entire year!). This is a day you definitely want to make your way on down to Bailey’s Taproom to partake in a party for all craft beer aficionados.

The very special draft list for Killer Beer Fest will include the following:

  • Stone Brewing (Escondido, CA)- Passion Project Sour Ale
  • Oakshire Brewing (Eugene, OR) – Hermanne 1882 (Pinot bbl aged Belgian w muller Thurgau grapes and Brettanomyces
  • Agrarian Ales (Coburg, OR) – Cucurbita Maxima (Barrel-aged Sweet Meat Squash Wee Heavy)
  • Mt Tabor Brewing (Vancouver, WA) – Bourbon Stout (a signature stout enhanced by being aged in an exceptionally wet barrel)
  • Upright Brewing (Portland, OR) – Single Cask Late Harvest (a brown saison with lemon and muña muña (Argentine herb), aged in a California syrah barrel)
  • Lompoc Brewing-(Portland, OR) Peachy Keen (crisp, dry golden ale brewed with peaches)
  • Three Creeks (Sisters, OR) – Sex Panther (a pinot barrel stout with cacao nibs, made for last year’s Big Woody Fest and aged to perfection)
  • Breakside Brewery (Milwaukie, OR) – Pomegranate Gose (a German-style beer like those from Leipzig. This one features a signature flavor that is tart with a little salt with added pomegranate)
  • Heathen Brewing (Vancouver, WA) – Epitaph Bourbon Bbl-Aged Stout (a big beastly 12% ABV, 92 IBU dark monster)
  • Amnesia Brewing (Washougal, WA) – Bbl-Aged Sleigh Jerker (a barrel-aged version of the Killer American Strong Ale)
  • Old Town and Heathen Brewing (Vancouver, WA) – Killer Cologne (this official beer of KillerBeerWeek 2014 is a hybrid style. A collaboration between brewers Bolt Minister of Old Town Brewing  and Rodney Stryker of Heathen Brewing, it is a Cascadian hopped-up spin on a German-style Kolsch Ale, 6% ABV, 66.6 IBU)
  • 7 Brides Brewing (Silverton, OR) – Monki Love Polish Imperial Stout (light licorice and toffee notes in this weighted 11% ABV treat)
  • Vertigo Brewing (Hillsboro, OR) – Barrel Equinox IPA
  • Elysian (Seattle, WA) – The Gourdfather Barleywine (veritable pushcart of malt bill brings pale, Munich, Cara-hell, Cara-vienne, C-15 crystal and pumpkin seeds up against a rival neighborhood armed with Magnum hops. 11.2% ABV)
  • Bear Republic Brewing (Healdsburg, CA) – Tartare Noir (one of a kind dark sour ale)
  • Cascade Brewing (Portland, OR) – Marascino Cherry Sour (very berry acidic sour tart golden-bodied ale)
  • Falling Sky Brewing (Eugene, OR) – Sour (first official wild ale release from Eugene’s most prolific brewery)
  • GoodLife Brewing (Bend, OR) 2012 Old Ale (yeah, buddy! A noteworthy vintage old ale worth your palate’s attention)
  • Fremont Brewing (Seattle, WA) – Kentucky Dark Star (GABF gold medal winner- Imperial Oatmeal Stout aged in 15 year old single use Kentucky Bourbon Barrels. The roasted and chocolate malts compliment the smooth oats to bring you a stout delight wrapped in gentle embrace of Bourbon Barrel aged warmth. A touch of sweetness dances in balance with the hops to finish with a wave and then she’s gone. Down & Dirty: 2-Row, Roast Barley, Crystal-60, Chocolate, & Carafa-2 malts with Flaked Oats and Magnum, Wilamette & Cascade hops. 9.5% ABV)
  • The Commons Brewery (Portland, OR)- Nectarine Urban Farmhouse (lush and flavorsome saison from one of the world’s best breweries located right here in Portland!)
