7th Annual Cider Summit Portland Announces Cider List

The 7th annual Cider Summit Portland takes place this weekend Fields Neighborhood Park in Portland’s Pearl District. Festival hours this year are Friday, June 16th from 3:00-8:00pm and on Saturday, June 17th from Noon-5:00pm.

Cider Summit will be pouring over 150 different ciders and cider cocktails many from the Pacific Northwest and a few from a far. The festival location of Fields Neighborhood Park provides for an enjoyable atmosphere with the Fremont Bridge in the distance.

Once again many of the local cidermakers will be participating in the 3rd annual Oregon Fruit Products Fruit Cider Challenge. The participating cideries created a pilot batch of a fruit cider that uses fruit puree from Oregon Fruit Products. Attendees will then vote on their favorites via text message, and the winners will be announced at the conclusion of the event on Saturday. These ciders are all designated in the cider list below.

General admission includes a souvenir tasting glass and six tasting tickets and costs $25 prior to June 1, $30 prior to June 16, or $35 at the gate. GA tickets will also be available starting June 1 at World Foods (NW), World Foods (SW), Cider Bite Taphouse (Pearl), Umpqua Bank (Pearl), and selected bottle shops throughout the City.

Beneficiaries of the 2017 Cider Summit PDX include Cascade Blues Association, Northwest Cider Association, DoveLewis Emergency Pet Hospital, The Institute for Myeloma & Bone Cancer Research.
