Eugene's 16 Tons Celebrates First Anniversary with Oolong Beer Release
|Sixteen Tons Beer & Wine has quickly emerged from a new face in the Eugene craft beer community to one of the city’s key spots for craft tipples. Offering more than 350 bottles of beer, over 250 bottles of wine, and 18 constantly rotating taps featuring the kind of beers that hardcore beer geeks drool over, Sixteen Tons raises a glass to their first year in business.
Thursday April 28th is the day. Co-founder Mike Coplin informs us that the Eugene brew haven at 265 E. 11th Ave. will be tapping a new beer first thing in the morning. Brewed across town at Oakshire, the anniversary ale, dubbed “Frederic’s Lost Arm,” says Coplin, “is a Belgian style Farmhouse Saison brewed with copious amounts of Iron Goddess Four Seasons Oolong Tea from our friends at J-Tea!”
Josh Chamberlain from J-Tea chronicled the brew day at Oakshire; you can check out his photo journal here: https://picasaweb.google.com/jteaoolong/Oakshire?#
Congratulations to 16 Tons! Cheers!
