Tickets Still Available for Sierra Nevada 30th Anniversary Dinner at Wildwood
|
Those who have experienced the marriage of craft beer and artisan cuisine know that few in the Pacific Northwest do it as well as Paul Kasten of Wildwood Restaurant. For his third public dinner at Wildwood, the sous chef has organized a truly special and unique lineup of mouthwatering dishes made with and paired alongside the beer of Sierra Nevada Brewing. Not just any Sierra Nevada pairing, the evening of November 5, 2010 at Wildwood will feature the Chico, California brewhouse’s one in a lifetime 30th Anniversary brews: an imperial stout, imperial lager, and a black barleywine. Each of these beers were designed and executed by legends of the craft beer world such as Portland’s own beer guru, Fred Eckhardt, Kasten says will be in attendance. “This is a real honor,” says Kasten, who in addition to being a talented student of the culinary arts is also a seasoned beer connoisseur. After a well attended dinner with Cascade Brewing a few weeks ago, Kasten adds “Based on the success of our previous two dinners, we’ve decided to expand the event to fill both of our banquet rooms for a total of sixty guests.”
