Portland Trail Blazers and Hop Valley Brewing Co. Open Hop Box Bar Inside Moda Center
The latest edition to the Moda Center, the home of the Portland Trail Blazers, is the new Hop Box Bar from Hop Valley Brewing Co. This new bar located near Section 110 is said to enhance the fan experience at Portland’s home of the National Basketball Association.
The Hop Valley Brewing Hop Box bar features bright green metal cladding, a distinctive Hop Valley neon sign complete with a basketball hoop, and a vibrant mural created by Portland artist Matt Schlosky. The spray painted artwork is inspired by the spirit of Portland and the vibe of Oregon that showcases roses, Mt. Hood, and Douglas firs, while blending hops and basketball elements to pay homage to the Trail Blazers.
Fans can score their favorite Hop Valley brews at the Hop Box Bar and throughout the arena. Offerings include Citrus Mistress IPA, Bubble Stash IPA and other various beers from Hop Valley Brewing.
“This partnership with the Portland Trail Blazers marks an exciting new chapter for Hop Valley Brewing,” said Ty Gilmore, President, U.S. Beer, at Tilray Brands. “We are thrilled to bring our unique and flavorful beers to the passionate fans at the Moda Center. The Hop Valley Brewing Hop Box bar is not just a place to grab a drink; it’s a celebration of Portland’s culture, creativity, and love for basketball. We can’t wait for fans to raise a glass to the 2024-2025 season and cheer on the Trail Blazers with a cold Hop Valley brew in hand.”
“We are excited to partner with Hop Valley Brewing to bring this quintessentially Pacific Northwest bar to life inside Moda Center,” said Laura Flynn, Senior Vice President, Commercial Partnerships, Portland Trail Blazers & Rose Quarter. “The creative and engaging Hop Valley Brewing Hop Box bar will be a destination for craft beer lovers at all our events throughout the year, enhancing the gameday and concert experience for Rip City with local favorites.”
The new Hop Valley Hop Box Bar comes at a time when two other Tilray bars at the Moda Center were recently transformed into Anheuser-Busch bars. After the sale of both 10 Barrel Brewing and Widmer Brothers Brewing from Anheuser-Busch to Tilary, its bars have changed identities to beers that are part of the Anheuser-Busch portfolio. Schonely’s 10 Barrel Taproom is now Schonely’s Elysian Taproom, while the large rectangular Widmer Brothers Bar near Section 110 is now the ULTRA Club featuring Michelob Ultra beer.
