Belmont Gets Lazy
|Chief Lazy Boy Shawn Loring will be on hand at Belmont Station this Monday, December 11 from 6-8PM. Samples of four Lazy Boy (from Everett, Washington) beers will be poured by Loring and the flavorful seasonal Mistletoe Bliss spiced imperial brown ale will be pouring on draught as well as as a special Belgian Double Ale. The Double is a collaboration between Loring and Don Webb. Webb is the founder of upstart Seattle brewery Naked City. Awaiting permits to get brewing, Naked City’s bar is currently open for business and serving up some tasty brews.
Loring is excited to announce that Lazy Boy’s new distributor Odom will have his beers in Alaska in 2009. “(2008) has been a trying year” says Loring. “The price of hops and malt etc. were tough. But things are looking up.”
Loring and his line-up of Lazy Boy brews will also be on hand at Saraveza on Wednesday December 13 at 7PM.
Other beers pouring at these tastings will be Lazy Boy IPA, a piquant amber-bodied ale; the Porter, a refreshingly hopped beer with a great blend of four malts; a Belgian Strong Ale (8.7% ABV) crisp spring brew; and the afforementions Mistletoe Bliss, a beer described by the brewery as “a brown ale on steroids” and featuring spices such as cinnamon and orange peel.
See you there!
oh man… Belmont Station seems to have the best events on Monday. I play 5-string at bluegrass jam on Mondays!
I’ve had a few Lazy Boy brews and they have been insanely delicious. I wish I could be there.
They’ll also be at Bailey’s on Tuesday from 6-8pm… good to see ’em making the rounds.
GO DADDY!!!!!!!!!
