Coalition Brewing To Focus On Production Brewery
|Coalition Brewing is counting down the days until their pub in Southeast Portland will close its doors. Their last day at the pub will be Saturday, May 31st. But don’t fret, Coalition will continue to brew at their production facility across the street that will allow for wider availability of their bottles, cans, and draft business.
This move came about when their 4 year lease came up. Founders, Elan Walsky and Kiley Hoyt, made the decision to get out of the pub side of the business to allow their new distribution partner, Great Artisan Beverage, more access to larger quantities of their beer.
Here’s more from the email from Coalition Brewing’s Elan Walsky:
After almost 4 amazing years in our pub location, our lease is up at 2724 SE Ankeny. While we love our little pub, the time has come for us to move on.
Good news is, we’ve decided to focus on Coalition’s bottle and draft business. Expect wider availability of our beers in Portland groceries and bars. Also, we will now be available throughout Oregon with our new distribution partners, Great Artisan Beverage. Stay tuned for events and other excitement at our brewery located across the street at 2705 SE Ankeny.
As we ramp up production, we are passing the torch to the wonderful new tenants of 2724 SE Ankeny- Tap That! Tap That, your new neighborhood public house, will be providing 12 rotating beer and cider taps, a bottle selection, and a menu featuring vegan and gluten free options as well.
Fear not! Coalition will be consistently occupying some of these taps and beer will continue to flow out of our brewery to retailers in and around Portland.
Please join us on May 31st, Coalition’s last day at the pub, for a celebration of our new ventures and an introduction to the wonderful folks behind Tap That! Thank you all for your patronage and support, we look forward to making more great beer for you. Cheers!
