First Bottles of Logsdon Farmhouse Ale at Volcanic Bottle Shoppe
|
Farmhouse Ales have captivated the attention of Oregonians. First Upright Brewing, then Beetje Brewing, and now Logsdon Farmhouse Ales of Hood River, Oregon are taking the craft to a new level. Founder Dave Logsdon has been involved in several facets of the brewing industry for years. As an original brewer for Full Sail in the early days and founder of Wyeast Laboratories, Logsdon has for quite some time had his finger on the pulse of Oregon craft beer. Logsdon’s latest undertaking his authentic farmhouse brewery set in the scenic outskirts of the Columbia Gorge community garnered some well-deserved notoriety at this spring’s Portland Cheers to Belgian Beers when their Seizoen Bretta won the peoples’ choice (tied with Hopworks Urban Brewery). Now this zesty, effervescent, and bold Brettanomyces-spiked ale is commercially available in 750 ml bottles. According to Logsdon’s brewing partner Charles “Chuck” Porter, the Seizoen Bretta bottles go on sale today at Volcanic Bottle Shoppe in Hood River. Get down there and grab one, and while you’re at it, grab one for us, too.
Volcanic will host an official release party on Saturday June 18, 2011 at 4PM. Volcanic Bottle Shoppe is located at 1410 12th Street in Hood River, Oregon.
