Ever since 1997 Terminal Gravity Brewing from the small Northeastern Oregon town of Enterprise has been producing some top notch beers. Terminal Gravity was one of the innovators of the modern day Northwest IPA and continue to brew some of the best more traditional style beers in the state.
However this week, Terminal Gravity is releasing a brand new beer in the Portland area. Terminal Gravity has come up with a new Cascadian Dark Ale, aptly named Cave Dweller Cascadian Dark Ale. As we have seen this CDA or more commonly known as a Black IPA not be a prominent in years past, TG is throwing their hat in the ring with this draft only release.
Frank Helderman, Head Brewer at Terminal Gravity states “Cave Dweller Ale as a black IPA whose rich maltiness is offset by a strong hop presence. The malt palette comes from an assortment of imported Belgian and French caramel and dark malts that serve as a counterpoint to its Northwestern and European hop finish.”
This is a single batch, one-off. Be on the lookout for this new Cave Dweller as only 16 Kegs made their way to Portland.
Follow Terminal Gravity on social media as they will be updating folks on the locations serving Cave Dweller as this info becomes available.
