Vancouver's Hop Harvest Beer Days
|Vancouver, Washington is joining the fresh hop festival trend with the Inaugural Hop Harvest Beer Days that will take place at Turtle Place Park in downtown ‘Couve. The two day event will be on October 10th from 4:30-9:00 pm and October 11th from Noon-9:00pm.
The Hop Harvest Beer Days is the first ever fresh hop beer festival organized to deliver a special selection of local and regional seasonal beers to Clark County. Fresh hop beers are specially brewed with just-harvested hops from the fields and produce a delicious fresh flavor that is slightly sweeter than that of typical dried hops. These beers are only available for a brief window of time each fall and this event will introduce these unique brews to the craft beer lovers of the region and their amazing flavors.
Over 25 different unique and limited release brews to choose from. Live music, great fresh foods and interesting vendors will all keep you entertained while you enjoy fresh hop and harvest beers with your friends. Located at Turtle Place Park in downtown Vancouver at 7th & Main St., the beer garden and entertainment spaces will be tented off so the fun goes on regardless of the weather.
Admission into Hop Harvest Beer Days is $15 for mug and 5 samples or $20 for mug and 10 samples for those that are 21 years of age or older. Tickets can be purchased in advance here so you will be able to avoid the lines upon entry.
Organizers are still seeking volunteers. If you are interested in signing up all volunteers will receive a volunteer t-shirt, festival mug, and tasting tickets (for use after your shift). More info can be found here.
Profits from the festival will benefit Metropolitan Performing Arts Academy, a local 501(c)3 non-profit organization that operates a children’s performing arts center located in Vancouver. Giving the kids in our community creative and active outlets for their development means we are investing in their joy and success. The Metropolitan Performing Arts Academy relies on donations and fundraising events to grow programs and offer safe, comfortable facilities for their ongoing classes.
