Oregon Cider Week Begins with Cider Summit PDX
3- 8 pm Friday June 16 and Noon-5 pm Saturday June 17, The Fields Park, 1099 NW Overton St.; $35 incl. glass and six tix.
Cider Summit PDX will showcase more than 150 ciders, including regional favorites and international classics, from the industry’s leading cidermakers, many of which will be on hand to inform and guide guests through the tastings. The event will feature a variety of food vendors, a Dog Lounge, and live music featuring several of Portland blues artists. The summit is also the official kick-off to Oregon Cider Week which celebrates our locally crafted cider and runs Thursday June 15- Sunday June 25. Brewers and their Bands

For the fourth year in a row, Brewers and their Bands brings together brewers to perform with their bands on Ecliptic’s outdoor patio.
6 p.m.: Roadopossum featuring John Harris from Ecliptic Brewing
7 p.m.: The Licklog Disputes featuring Max Skewes from Burnside Brewing Co.
8 p.m.: Black Lodge featuring Ron Gansberg from Cascade Brewing Barrel House

Logsdon Spontan Wilde Release Party
5-8 pm Thursday June 15, Belmont Station, 4500 SE Stark St.;
The Station crew helps Logsdon release a brand-new lambic-inspired ale, Spontan Wilde and John Plutshack will be in the house to talk about this new beer, their first two-year spontaneous blended beer. They’ll have bottles on sale and it will also be pouring in the biercafe.
Mussels from Brussels

Mussels from Brussels returns for its fifth year. Five breweries — Breakside, Culmination, Lompoc, pFriem, and Upright– gin up five secret sauces for dipping in one pound of mussels served with fries, and paired with their Belgian-inspired beer. Seating will take place every 30 minutes; peoples’ choice winner announced 9 pm once all votes have been tallied.
Masters of IPA III

PDX Beer Week and Ecliptic Brewing present the Masters of IPA invitational featuring 14 of the best India Pale Ale brewers from across the country will be featured. Participating Breweries: Melvin Brewing, Grains of Wrath, Cloudburst Brewing, Breakside Brewery, Boneyard Beer, Barley Brown’s Brew Pub, Great Notion Brewing, Ecliptic Brewing, Block 15 Brewing Co., Beachwood BBQ, Monkish Brewing Co., Fort George Brewery, Comrade Brewing Company, and Ballast Point Brewing Company.
Beer Quest/Mini Beer Fest

Stormbreaker’s Beer Quest is a casual but competitive beer quest — a walking tour of NoPo breweries including Ecliptic Brewing, Hopworks, Lompoc, Upright, Widmer Brothers Brewing, Labrewatory, Ex Novo Brewing and Stormbreaker Brewing. Starting at 10am, you trek to each of the participating breweries to get a hole punch in your beer quest card — it’s about a 5K loop and your cards should be filled by 11:15 a.m. Head back to StormBreaker and redeem your beer quest card to get tasters for the beer fest. Each hole punch is redeemable for one 4 oz pour of that brewery’s beer. Gain points along the way to become the Beer Quest Champ…
Lompoc Proletariat Red Can Release/BBQ

Lompoc Brewing’s award-winning Proletariat Red is now available in 12 oz. cans, sold as a six-pack, as well as draft and in 22 oz. bottles. A silver medal winner at the 2015 Great American Beer Festival, Proletariat Red is deep chestnut in color, and features toasted malt with biscuit undertones leading to caramelized pear and cinnamon, says the press release. It strikes a balance between malt and hops, and weighs in at 6.2 percent. Cans can be purchased at Lompoc’s Fifth Quadrant and Sidebar and in select stores around Portland. They’re holding a BBQ party to celebrate the release of the cans that will include corn hole games, prizes, BBQ food specials and a fire pit, plus special pricing on Proletariat Red six packs. The brewery’s Lömpocker Hoppy Kölsch and new Lomporter will also be pouring on draft.
Fourth Annual Solstice Block Party

Outdoor Project and Ecliptic Brewing have teamed up for the Solstice Block Party, an afternoon of live music, craft beer, food, outdoor gear demos, and games in celebration of summer and the local outdoor community. Proceeds from pint sales and the sale of special custom pints will be donated to Adventures Without Limits.

Portland Beer Week & Gigantic Brewing present the last event of Portland Beer Week, Snackdown, a fun food and beer pairing event where 10 of Portland’s best chefs and 10 Oregon brewers are paired into teams to make their greatest snack and beer pairing. Guests will vote on their favorite pairing and the winners will be awarded the SNACKDOWN Belt. Designed to be more fun and loose than your standard beer dinner, Snackdown takes its cues from professional wrestling with brewers and chefs hyping their pairing on the mic–possibly while sporting wrestling costumes. DJ Rev Shines will be on the decks keeping the party live.
