Cascade Brewing Introduces Sour Flower Fest
Cascade Brewing is set to host its inaugural Sour Flower Fest from May 18-21 at its two Portland pubs, the Cascade Brewing Barrel House and Raccoon Lodge and Brewpub. As the name of the events states, this new festival will feature sour ales all made with flowers.
Entry to Sour Flower Fest is free and will feature the debut of about a half dozen new small batch blends all made with floral ingredients. A few of these blends will be Desert Bloom, Cherry Blossom, Pistil Whipped, Hop Flower Sour and Bees Knees. There will also be a new non-sour beer with Hips and Tips that will be on tap at both locations.
In addition, the Cascade Brewing Barrel House will be serving Bouquet of Flowers, Rose City Sour, Vintage Strawberry, and a floral themed live barrel that will tap on May 15 and pour through the festival.
