Pápa’s Frita Now Serving Nicaraguan Food at Migration Brewing Williams Pub
Yesterday on social media, Migration Brewing announced Pápa’s Frita as its new food partner for its Williams Pub & Patio location. The renowned food cart celebrated for its authentic Nicaraguan street food will now bring its food to the North Portland location of Migration Brewing. This partnership introduces a vibrant culinary experience to Portland, combining the rich flavors of Nicaragua with the refreshing craft beers of Migration Brewing. The official kick-off party will take place on Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 4:00 – 9:00pm.
Pápa’s Frita draws its inspiration from the traditional Nicaraguan Fritanga, a beloved street food experience. The name “Pápa’s Frita” is a heartfelt nod to Rene Ruiz’s role as a single dad, with his daughter affectionately calling him “Pápa.” The menu is a creative interpretation of Fritanga, that traditionally features dishes like Gallo Pinto, ensalada, queso frito, and a choice of sweet or savory plantain with carne, pollo, or cerdo asado, all served on a banana leaf. The full pub menu showcases new twists on smash burgers, salads and weekly specials that are infused with Ruiz’s personal touch; blending new flavors with Nicaraguan classics.
