Insane in the Yeast Strain With Everybody’s Brewing & Imperial Organic Yeast
|Learning about the different nuances of what different yeasts can provide to the exactly same beer is a learning experience that can broaden the knowledge of any fan of craft beer. To help exemplify what different yeasts can do to the exact same base beer is what Everybody’s Brewing and Imperial Organic Yeast recently did.
On Friday, February 26, Imperial Bottle Shop & Taproom will host Everybody’s Brewing and Imperial Organic Yeast for a unique tasting, Insane in the Yeast Strain. Everybody’s Brewing brewed five different versions of Local Lager, each using a different organic yeast strain from Imperial Organic Yeast but using the same malt and hop bill. The five yeast strains used include:
- A20 Citrus – Wild Saccharomyces strain
- L05 Cable Car – Lager strain
- G01 Stefon – German Hefe strain
- G03 Deiter – German Kolsch strain
- B63 Monastic – Belgian Ale strain
Beginning at 6:00pm on Friday, owners from both Everybody’s Brewing and Imperial Organic Yeast will be on hand at Imperial to lead this tasting and to discuss how various yeast strains can affect the outcome of a beer. This will be an excellent way to better your understanding of the nuances of craft beer.
Flights of these five unique beers will be available all weekend, or as long as supplies last.
