Bell’s After Dark
Tues., April 14 8-CLOSE
The last time the Craft Brewers Conference was in Portland, Bells’ Brewery Co. founder Larry Bell threw what continues to be one of the most legendary after-parties ever. In his hotel suite, no less.
We don’t expect this gathering to come close to topping that epic night, but The Station thought it would fun to host Larry and some of his crew and enjoy several Bell’s beers on tap — a rarity in these parts for quite some time. Belmont also will have bottles of Two Hearted Ale for sale in the bottle shop!
Come by, enjoy some Bell’s beers, pick up a bottle of Two Hearted, and say hello to one of craft beer’s pioneers. (Make sure to ask him how many times the police showed up at that Portland after-party!)
Here’s what will be pouring:
- Two Hearted Ale (IPA)
- Cherry Stout
- Special Double Cream Stout
- The Wild One Sour Ale
- Roundhouse IRA
- Kalamazoo Stout
- Third Coast Old Ale
- Oberon American Pale Wheat Ale

- Midwest Pale Ale
Celebrating American & Belgian Craft Beer
Wednesday, April 15 4:00-6:00pm
Belmont Station is honored that Yvan de Baets of Brasserie de la Senne in Brussels, Belgium, has brewed a special beer for us. You see, the label for Taras Boulba Extra Hoppy Ale depicts a man shouting “Smeirlap!”, and the staff at Belmont Station have adopted that Flemish interjection as our unofficial curse word (it means “Bastard!”). Unfortunately, Yvan won’t be able to join us, but Luc de Raedamaeker of the Brussels Beer Challenge (an international beer competition) will be on hand to present and discuss Smeirlap! Additionally, we have asked several local/regional breweries to contribute a beer to this event and join us to talk about how they’ve been influenced by Belgian brewers.
The breweries/brewers include:
- Brasserie de la Senne
- Breakside Brewing (Jacob Leonard)
- Hair of the Dog
- pFriem Family Brewers (Josh Pfriem)
- Upright Brewing (Alex Ganum)
- Mazama Brewing (Jeff Tobin)
- Russian River Brewing (Vinnie Cilurzo)
- The Commons Brewery (Mike Wright)
One will be able to enjoy all the beers and chat with the brewers about the influences that Belgian and American brewers have imparted on each other’s works.
Stone After Dark
Wednesday, April 15 8:00-Close
Join some of the Stone Brewing gang for a chill night of hanging out with some great Stone beers on tap!
The Station will be pouring:
- Arbalest Belgian Pale Ale aged in bourbon barrels
- New Desecrator Black Barley Wine
- Stone w00t Stout
- Spotlight Series Imperial Mutt Brown Ale, the 2015 champion of Stone’s in-house brewing competition.

Green Flash Head Brew Master Chuck Silva will be on hand to help launch the Cellar 3 series, featuring Silva Stout bottles. Chuck will be signing bottles in the bottle shop for you to take home. Plus, the debut Alpine Brewing in Portland at the same time!

Cascade Barrel House ‘Battle of the Belmont Blends!’
Thursday, April 16 7:00-9:00pm
The Belmont Station staff split up into four teams and blended four unique, one-off beers at Cascade Barrel House. The Station will be pouring the only existing kegs of these four beers during this event.
Purchase a flight of all four and vote for your favorite! The winning beer will be announced at the event. Members of the Cascade crew will be on hand to chat with as well. Expect a lot of smack talk between Belmont Station folk. Just sayin’.

Dogfish Head Record Store Day Party & Turntable Giveaway
Saturday, April 18 2:00-4:00pm
Dogfish Head, with its slogan, “analog beer for the digital age,” has been named the Official Beer for Record Store Day, a celebration of the unique culture of record stores and the special role they play in their communities.
With the help of concert poster artist Marq Spusta, Dogfish Head has created the Official Poster of Record Store Day. The limited-edition poster will be available for free at Belmont Station while supplies last.
Spusta’s art also appears on a mini traveling turntable from Crosley. Featuring built-in stereo speakers and 3 speeds, the Dogfish Crosley will be on display during our Record Store Day event! Bring in a favorite piece of vinyl and play a couple of tracks!
Then at 4:00pm Belmont Station will be giving the turntable away to a lucky winner in a raffle. Everyone who attends the party gets a ticket, so come on by, listen to some tunes, enjoy some great beer with the Beer Advocate gang and cross your fingers that you win!
