Kona Brewing Presents Summer Luau at Mt. Hood Meadows

(Mt. Hood, OR — Immediate Release) — Mt. Hood Meadows will celebrate its volcanic kinship to the Hawaiian Islands Saturday, July 13 by presenting it’s first ever Summer Luau. Kona Brewing presents the Luau which will have three serving stations featuring delicious Island fare.

Resort V.P. of Sales and Marketing Dave Tragethon says there are many similarities between Hawaii and Meadows, beginning with the volcano, explaining “We are both part of the ring of fire, which brings passion to those who live and visit our magnificent locations. Mt. Hood and the islands of Hawaii have diverse eco-systems worth seeking out and exploring. Nature abounds and shapes the activities of both locales, there’s big surf to board in Hawaii and a big mountain to board here on Hood. Many times clouds can shroud the foothills to make the peak look like an island floating on the clouds. And we can’t overlook Kona Brewing – brewed in Kailua-Kona on Hawaii’s Big Island – will be presenting our Summer Luau Saturday at Meadows.”

Francis Doo will play ukulele and sing Hawaiian songs. Doo is an accomplished performer who hails from Oahu.

The Summer Luau will be presented from 4 – 7 PM Saturday, July 13, and dinner tickets with Kona pairings can be purchased online at MtHoodMeadows.com/Summer. Reservations are encouraged with a discount for those purchasing online in advance.

Mt. Hood Meadows offers scenic chair rides and hiking experiences five days a week (Thursdays – Mondays) through Labor Day and presents events like the Summer Luau every weekend. For more information visit MtHoodMeadows.com/Summer.
