Oregon City Brewing To Celebrate 9th Anniversary

When Oregon City Brewing celebrates its 9th anniversary on Saturday, December 2nd, the brewery will be releasing two beers! The daylong celebration kicks off at 11:00am with live music from four bands beginning at 3:30pm!

The first of two beers being released is Batch 1000. This 10% ABV Imperial Porter that incorporates 100 vanilla beans marks the 1,000 batch of beer brewed at Oregon City Brewing from head brewer, David Vohden.

The other beer being released has been brewed before, but this time it’ll be on draft for the very first time. Coming To Fruition: Cherry, has seen its share of beer competition medals and awards. Among its accolades are medals at the World Beer Cup, Great American Beer Festival, Oregon Beer Awards, Best of Craft Beer Awards, US Open Beer Championships, and the North American Brewers Association Beer Awards.

“The very first beer we bottled at Oregon City Brewing was the award-winning batch of Coming To Fruition: Cherry,” said Vohden, in a press release. “While it served us very well over the last several years, it was time to try to recapture the magic, and I believe we’ve done that. We’re really excited for people to try this new iteration on draft.”

Despite bottling several cases for competition, this version will only be available on draft. “It was a very small batch, so aside from the kegs we’ve allocated for our own taproom, we’ll have a limited number of sixth-barrels available for some of our top accounts,” stated Oregon City Brewing sales manager Adam Sivits.

Aside from the beer releases, four local bands will be on display on the back patio, starting with Keston Brouillette & The Pickled Hearts at 3:30. Sneaker Wave is up next at 5:00, followed by Blesst Chest at 6:30, with Camp Crush closing out the night at 8:00.
