Zoiglhaus Brewing and Ecliptic Brewing Collaborate on Nightfall of Diamonds – Imperial Porter
For its latest beer release, Zoiglhaus Brewing reached out to John Harris at Ecliptic Brewing to collaborate on the new Nightfall of Diamonds – Imperial Porter. This new beer will make its official debut on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at The BeerMongers in Portland, Oregon with festivities kicking off at 5:00pm.
Nightfall of Diamonds – Imperial Porter Description:
Collaborations are only as good as the brewers involved. We landed a Hall of Famer from Ecliptic Brewing for this project. The reigning King of Porters (aka John Harris) worked with the Zoiglhaus team to create this Imperial Porter. Half of the tank is what you find in this can. The other half is aging in Freeland Spirits Bourbon barrels. Keep an eye out for that version!
Nightfall of Diamonds is brewed with a blend of American and German malts and hops. Rich malt flavors of chocolate, toffee, and coffee dominate this crisp creation. The hops provide hints of orange peel and citrus that blend harmoniously with the chocolate malts. Prost and cheers!
Nightfall of of Diamonds – Imperial Porter is brewed with Great Western Premium 2-Row, C-60 and C-120, Briess Chocolate, Weyermann Carafa I and Carafa III Malts. The beer is hopped with US Columbus and Centennial, and German Saphir Hops. It sits at 7.6% ABV and 40 IBUs.
