Celebrating 35 Years of Rogue Ales in Newport, Oregon
|After brewing for one year in Ashland, Oregon, Rogue Ales made the decision to relocate its brewery to downtown Newport, Oregon in 1989. It was also the same time that Jack Joyce, one of Rogue’s co-founders, hired John Maier as its new Brewmaster. The rest they say is history.
To celebrate this 35 year milestone of brewing in Newport, John Maier returned to the brewdeck to join current Brewmaster Joel Shields on 35th anniversary cans of Brutal Bitter using the original recipe. Brutal Bitter is now available at all of Rogue’s pubs in 4-pack, 16 ounce cans for limited time.
