BridgePort Brewing Releases Old Knucklehead No. 016
Back in 1989, five years after its inception, BridgePort Brewing brewed its first batch of Old Knucklehead Barley Wine. Through the years since this time the longstanding Portland brewery has bottled 15 versions of this barley wine. Now to close out 2015, BridgePort Brewing has released Old Knucklehead No. 016.
With the 16th bottling of Old Knucklehead completed, fans of this satisfying barley wine can now enjoy this high ABV beer now or cellar it for future enjoyment. Carrying on the tradition, this year’s ruby-colored brew is aged with oak and delivers a robust malt sweetness. As the beer warms notes of vanilla and toffee become more evident with each sip.
Coming in at an ABV of 9.2%, OG of 22.0, and IBU of 60, you won’t want to wait too long to grab your taste of Old Knucklehead. This limited edition brew is available in 22oz. bottles and on draft where BridgePort is sold.
