The Mexican inspired lager trend seems to see no end in the beer industry. Sales of Modelo and other Mexican lagers continue to grow here in the U.S. so it makes sense that their craft counterparts tap into this market trend.

One such brewery that has a Mexican-style lager ready for release is Bale Breaker Brewing Company from Yakima, Washington. In time for the 4th of July, Bale Breaker will release La Mas Buena Mexican Lager on Wednesday, July 3rd, at both its taprooms in Yakima and Seattle.

La Mas Buena is not new, but makes its debut in cans for the first time. This beer that was named as a nod to the many local Spanish-speaking customers at their Yakima taproom repeatedly asking for “la mas buena?” at the bar. A marketer’s dream, this translates to “The best one.”

Brewed to be an authentic representation of the style, La Mas Buena is described as a crisp, easy-drinking Mexican lager that is made for enjoying in the sunshine. Just as its Mexican counterparts, it is brewed with flaked corn and Pilsner malt, and clocking in at just 5% ABV. A crisp and crushable beer perfect for any summer drinking occasion.

La Mas Buena will be released in 16oz 4pks and on draft at both their Yakima and Ballard taprooms on July 3rd. It’ll receive full distribution throughout Washington, Oregon, and Idaho that same week– find it using Bale Breaker’s online beer finder. Washington customers can also order their beer via their online store after launch.
