Crux Fermentation Project Releases [BANISHED] Freakcake Barrel-Aged Oud Bruin
Crux Fermentation Project has recently released its latest version of [BANISHED] Freakcake Barrel-Aged Oud Bruin in 375mL bottles and draft. This latest release from its [BANISHED] series is a big sipper as it spent many months aging away in bourbon barrels that previously held Crux’s Tough Love Imperial Stout.
[BANISHED] Freakcake Barrel-Aged Oud Bruin Description:
We’ve taught an old brown new tricks. The brunette hue is derived from roasted Belgian aromatic malts, and fruity esters are augmented by lemon and orange zest. For a further twist, a Brettanomyces induced secondary fermentation flecked with tart cherries, dates, cranberries, currants, and figs makes for a slightly sour ale. Want something even freakier? Lock it up in a cool dark place for a few years and see what happens.
Now in its fifth incarnation, [BANISHED] Freakcake Barrel-Aged Oud Bruin sits at 10.5% ABV and 35 IBUs and is available throughout Crux’s distribution footprint.
