To learn more about these four beer releases, descriptions as provided by McMenamins are listed below.
Hop Pillow DIPA
A beguiling sip. Dreams of pineapple, mango, papaya and tangerine follow, riding a swell of pillowy softness. This award-winning beer was brewed with Azacca and El Dorado hops and an abundance of wheat and flaked oats for tropical notes and its characteristic soft mouthfeel, winning prizes at the 2020 Best of Craft Beer Awards and the 2022 Oregon Beer Awards.
Malts: Pilsen, 2-Row, Wheat, Flaked Oats
Hops: Columbus, Citra, El Dorado, Azacca, Mosiac, Sabro
ABV: 8.5%
Iron Heart Barrel Aged Cherry Chocolate Coffee Stout
Iron Heart is an Imperial Stout aged for over a year in Hogshead Whiskey barrels with sweet cherries, cocoa, and cold brew coffee. It’s dark, indulgent and hard to resist.
Special Ingredients: Cold Brew Coffee, Chocolate
Fruit: Tart Cherries
ABV: 8.77%
Hazy Hammerhead
You know it, you love it, it’s Hammerhead but hazy style. This all Cascade hop brew was created to riff on the classic, but with a slightly higher ABV, lower bitterness and the signature soft mouth feel of a hazy IPA.
Malts: Two row, Rolled oats, Wheat, Caramel steam
Hops: Cascade
ABV: 6.58%
Great Uncle Jim Stout
Great Uncle Jim McMenamin, in his rambling old Portland house, had near-flawless specimens of rose-colored light bulbs – the perfect balance of pink, brown, orange, white and gold. And in a perfect balance of whiskey barrel-aged coffee, lactose, hops and malt, this rich, roasty, full-bodied Irish Coffee Stout is an ode to Great Uncle Jim.
Malts: Marris Otter, Special Aromatic, Flaked Barley, Chocolate, Roast, Blackprinz, Kiln Coffee Malt
Hops: Nugget
ABV: 8.5%
