Block 15 Celebrates 6 Years

Tomorrow, Saturday March 1st, Block 15 is celebrating six years of brewing and serving up tasty food for Corvallis! To mark this special occasion, the staff at Block 15 has put together food and beer specials highlighting the local bounty that influences and inspires them.

“Above all, thank you. Thank you for allowing us to serve you over the past six years. We really do love being a part of such a vibrant community. With your amazing support we have been able to continue on in this dream we call Block 15. A dream that includes employing over 80 wonderful individuals, brewing 1203 batches, supporting environmentally positive practices, and in 2013 donating over $20,000 back to our community.
We will harness this postive energy as we continue to build upon our community foundation, brew uncompromised beer, prepare your meals, and be your pub for friends and family to gather.

What’s an anniversary without some special beers? Block 15 will not disappoint and will be featuring these two special beers.

• Sticky Hands, Home Grown
  This edition of Sticky Hands was brewed with some of the finest hops in the world, grown right here in the Willamette Valley.  Brewed and double dry hopped with a delicate formulation of three distinct Oregon grown hops: nugget, cascade, and centennial. Enjoy dank notes of citrus spice, floral, pine and our home state.

• Chardonnay Wild Ale
  From our wild cellar we bring you this special farmhouse style ale fermented with Brettanomyces and then matured in oak barrels with Chardonnay grapes from Left Coast Vineyards. This wild as is a wonderfully unique beer that blends our wild brewing techniques and a taste of Oregon vineyards.
  5.91%ABV.

And Block 15 is not only about beer, they also serve up some great, tasty food. To celebrate 6 years the kitchen will offer up these two specials for their anniversary.

• The Oregon Burger
  This burger highlights some of the finest farms and artisans from our beautiful State: a hand spanked Painted Hills beef burger with caramelized Gathering Together Farms cipollini onions, Willamette Valley Cheese Co. aged cheddar, Pepper Tree bacon, and Denison Farms spinach on a fresh baked bun from our bakery.
• Burst’s Chocolates Nebula Stout Truffle
  The Chocolatier at Burst’s has created a special truffle using our nebula stout. These tasty concoctions are complementary when you dine with us on Saturday! (While supplies last)
