The Bier Stein to Host Live Beer Memorabilia Auction for Charity

Giving back to the local community is a common theme in the craft beer industry. This holds true for the brewers, distributors and retailers. The Bier Stein Bottleshop & Pub will host a Live Beer Memorabilia Auction on Saturday, November 11th at its pub in Eugene, Oregon.

The Live Beer Memorabilia Auction will benefit to local Eugene nonprofits – Food for Lane County and Relief Nursery. To assist in putting on this auction The Bier Stein worked with various breweries and its local beer distributors that includes Columbia, Point Blank, and Bigfoot Beverages. There will be a beer or cider on tap from each of the participating breweries that are listed below.

The auction will take place from 3:00-7:00pm inside The Bier Stein’s Back Bar area. It will feature 15 lots of beer memorabilia (breweriana) ranging in type, size, and value. Each lot will contain one extra special “marquis” item, such as an LED or gift basket, donated by breweries specifically for the event, and an array of branded tin tackers and other items.

The auction is free and open to the public, including brewery, distributor, and Bier Stein employees. Participants must be present to bid and collect any winnings. Bids can be paid in cash or by card (no checks, please). Registration and item viewing begins at 3:00pm in the Back Bar. Bidding starts at 6:00pm sharp by the pool table. Brewery representatives will hand out some free samples prior to the auction.
