Fremont Brewing Releases Pride Kölsch For Pride Month

In time for Pride Month, Seattle’s Fremont Brewing will be releasing its Pride Kölsch. This German influenced beer will be available across Fremont Brewing’s distribution territories in kegs and 16-ounce cans in the coming weeks.

“Our goal with Pride Kölsch is to stand up for the safety and self-determination of LGBTQ people and support the work of non-profits serving the LGBTQ community,” said Matt Lincecum, Fremont Brewing CEO, in a statement. “Ultimately, Pride Kölsch is all about love. A love for beer, a love for each other, and supporting and fighting for the indisputable right to love.”

To launch this returning beer, Fremont Brewing will host the official Pride Kickoff Celebration featuring two Pride Kölsch randals at its Urban Beer Garden on June 7, 2018 beginning at 5:00pm. There will be subsequent release events in Southern California later in June and early July and those dates and locations will soon be available on Fremont’s California events page. As of this post there are no Oregon launch events planned.

Pride Kölsch is made with 2-Row Pale malt and White Wheat and Huell Melon and Loral hops. The German style beer delivers a crisp, refreshing summer taste with hints of melon, berry, and orange peel.

Proceeds from Pride Kölsch sales will benefit charities in Washington and California; unfortunately Oregon charites are not mentioned as being a beneficiary. The charities part of this year’s fundraising are Washington’s Pride Foundation, Entre Hermanos in Seattle, the Trevor Project in Los Angeles and The Community Center in San Diego.
