Update:
Beer list announced.
Schooner Exact 3-Grid IPA: The brewery’s flagship brew. This India Pale Ale’s citrus notes are created by Chinook, Cascade, Columbus and Amarillo hops from Yakima Valley, making it a true Northwest-style crowd pleaser. The alchemists at Schooner EXACT balance the hoppiness with a hint of malt, making this IPA one that pleases the staunchest of hopheads as well as the microbrew newbie.
Naked City Big Lebrewski: A White Russian Imperial Stout. An imperial cream stout aged on Kahlua-soaked oak. Age makes it better and better and better! And the Dude abides.
Yakima Craft Fresh Hopped IPA: Yakima Craft Brewing Co.’s IPA features a substantial, well-balanced taste with an emphasis on the hop. This rendition features locally sourced Yakima fresh hops for added seasonal enjoyment.
Silver City Ridgetop Red: An American original, amber ales combine medium maltiness and caramel character with American variety hops. This amber rocks! Ridgetop Red is Silver City’s answer to anyone looking for a mild and malty, highly drinkable, yet fresh and full flavored beer. Northwest Liberty hops and three select German specialty malts along with a tempered fermentaion, results in a distinctly northwest ale with a smooth body and a the crisp finish of a German alt beer.
Iron Horse Mocha Quilters Irish Death: Created by the brewery’s founder, Quilter’s Irish Death is a dark, smooth, ale. Any attempt at classifying it just ends up sending beer geeks into a style guidelines diatribe. So forget style guidelines. Is your pursuit of micro beer about tasting copies of a style that fit guidelines anyways? (Neither is ours) Irish Death is a malt bomb. “We lovingly refer to it as beer candy. We heart our candy store.” While tempting to session this beer, the name is a necessary reminder that despite the surprising approachability, this beer weighs in at a hefty. This special version includes the addition of mocha for added delectability. 7.8% ABV.
Black Raven Trickster IPA: NABA 2009 Silver Medal – Strong Pale Ale category ABV: 6.8%, IBU: 67, Malts: ESB, Munich, Crystal Hops: Chinook, Magnum, Simcoe, Amarillo, Cascade In mythology, the raven can play tricks or otherwise disobey normal rules, hence the name Trickster. This well-balanced IPA has a nice, light fruit, citrus and piney hop aroma with a full hop flavor. With its balanced malt body and a 6.8% ABV, this beer has truly earned its name.
Boundary Bay Inside Passage Ale: Inside Passage Ale (IPA) A style developed during the days of the British Empire; IPA’s higher alcohol content & big hop character were natural preservatives that protected the beer during its long voyage eastward to India. As one story goes, a shipwreck washed many cases of IPA to England’s shore & the locals tasted the beverage… the rest is history. Original gravity 1.065
Anacortes Oktoberfest: Anacortes Oktoberfest celebrates the traditional Bavarian festival with a malty, full bodied brew hopped for balance and lagered for six weeks in one of Washington’s most authentic cold storage cellars. 5.5% ABV.
Flyers Pacemaker Porter: A Robust Porter in style, this dark, full bodied ale has notes of roasted barley, coffee and bitter sweet chocolate. Fast becoming Flyers’ flagship beer! 2006 Gold Medal, NABA 2006 Silver Medal GABF, 2007 Silver Medal World Beer Championships. 5.5% ABV.
