Tim Ensign Leaves Mountain Peoples
|Just about everyone in the Oregon craft beer scene, especially in Portland, is familiar with Tim Ensign. You’ve probably had a conversation with him at one of your favorite craft beer spots. We’ve certainly enjoyed the breweries like Silver Moon, Oakshire, Caldera, and Fort George that Tim has been introducing palates to. For nearly a decade Ensign has worked for Mountain Peoples Organic Wine and Beer Distributors provided pubs and bottleshops with some amazing craft beer. Different than many other distributors, Ensign’s passion for craft beer has always appeared to shine brighter than any brand loyalty.
Brother of beloved Portland bartender icon Chris “King C” Ensign, Tim announced his move to leave Mountain Peoples in pursuit of his latest endeavor, Powered By Yeast Brand Management, a brokerage company that time is putting the bulk of his professional energies into. We wish him the best of luck. Here’s the news in Tim’s words:
It is with heavy heart that I make this announcement and I wish I could make it in person but geography makes that difficult. I sure have had an amazing time for the last 9 years working with all of you and our extended Mt People’s family, but I am moving on to a new venture. I am starting my own Brokerage Company “Powered By Yeast Brand Management”. This has been a personal goal of mine for many years and I felt it was the right time to make the leap into my own adventure. Michael and I first wanted to make sure you are all aware that we are working together to make this a very smooth transition. I plan on working through the end of the month and will be managing as usual. Michael will take over the day to day in April but I will still be available for any assistance that is needed. Michael is developing a plan on how to move forward in my absence but will be taking on the management in the interim himself. I will continue to be in the industry and look forward to catching up with you all soon!
