First Annual Ecliptic Brewing Beer Mile
|
Beer and running are not always synonymous with one another. But this will be the case on Sunday, May 31st when Ecliptic Brewing will host its First Annual Beer Mile.
Starting time is 9:00am and will begin at the brewery in Portland’s Mississippi neighborhood with a complimentary beer, and end back at Ecliptic for live music and beer festivities. The one mile race will feature an out-and-back course that starts and finishes at the brewery.
“We could not be more excited about our first ever beer mile,” said Ecliptic owner and head brewmaster John Harris. “We hope to have friends old and new come out to enjoy a quick run and an epic after-party.”
For more information on the event and to register or to volunteer please visit: http://www.onemilebeerrun.com. Entry is $30 and includes an official race t-shirt, race bib, and best of all, two free Ecliptic beers (for all participants 21 years of age with valid ID).
The Oregon Food Bank will be the official charitable partner of the event. Ecliptic Brewing will have food collection bins on-site at packet pickup on race day. Attendees are encouraged to bring at least one can of non-perishable food.
