Great Notion Brewing & Forest Park Conservancy – Friends of the Forest Fundraiser
On Saturday, May 18th, Great Notion Brewing will celebrate Friends of the Forest, a fundraiser that’ll benefit the nearby Forest Park Conservancy. The celebration will take place at Great Notion Brewing’s Northwest location from 10:30am – 5:00pm. This will make for a great day to celebrate the majestic beauty of our Forest Park!
Though Great Notion NW will open its doors to its taproom at 11:00am, the fun will begin 30 minutes earlier at the brewery when Nike Trail athlete Liam Meirow leads a fun casual run/walk through a portion of Forest Park. All paces are welcome to participate and make sure to take in all of the scenery while looking for a few scattered prizes along the way.
Once back at the brewery, there will be live music, a tattoo bus, food and plenty of beer. There will also be members from the Forest Park Conservancy that’ll be able to answer questions and share insights on how we can further engage with the largest urban park in the country!
To help support the organization, a $15 event ticket will allow supporters to receive a commemorative tasting glass and a pour of your choice (5oz + 16oz pours available) with a portion of proceeds benefiting Forest Park Conservancy.
The day’s lineup is more than just beer as Wood Butcher will be performing from 2:00 – 5:00pm, while the Celtic Axe Throwers will be onsite from 1:00 – 3:00pm. In addition to this fun activities, INKBUS Tattoo will be onsite beginning at Noon.
When it comes to eats, it’ll be the perfect time to check out the second location of Pizza Thief as it recently took over the kitchen at Great Notion NW. It’ll be serving up Sicilian pizzas, sandwiches, and salads all day long in the taproom. Then outside Machetes will be set up at 11:00am serving its Mexican inspired cuisine until sold out.
With the forecast looking to be in the mid-60s for Saturday, It should sure be a great day to spend supporting the Forest Park Conservancy at Great Notion NW!
