Nearly one year ago Machine House Brewery opened the doors to its new home in Seattle’s Hillman City neighborhood. This new location is one that offers up a much cozier atmosphere with classic brick walls and a wood plank ceiling. Just perfect for meandering your way through a few of the brewery’s exceptional cask ales!

For the previous decade the brewery was located a few miles to the west in the former Seattle Brewing & Malting Company building, best known for brewing Rainier. But along with being in the trendy and gentrified Georgetown neighborhood came a massive increase in the brewery’s lease.

It was then when Machine House Brewery’s founder Bill Arnott began searching for a new location for both his brewery and taproom. He eventually stumbled upon the former location of NW Peaks Brewery and prior to that, Spinnaker Bay Brewing that was available.

Now with a year under its belt serving cask ales from the eight beer engines, the brewery will host its first ever Autumn Beer Fest this weekend from October 25 – 27, 2024. As the days and nights get cooler, it’s a perfect time for a cask ale!

For the Autumn Beer Fest, Arnott and his team will be serving up an array of 13 cask ales along with a few guest beers and ciders. The lineup of cask ale will include a couple special casks that have been resting in the cellar and some freshly filled collaboration beers. This list includes the brewery’s Pale Oat Mild with Bizarre Brewing, Scottish 60 Shilling with Beveridge Place Pub, and a limited amount of its Rye Barleywine collaboration with Holy Mountain, The Roots of the Mountain.

In addition to the real ale, Machine House will be serving up a few seasonal beers from Structures Brewing, E9 Brewing , Dwinell Country Ales and ciders from Alpenfire Cider, Woodinville Cider and Yonder Cider to round out the tap list! And best of all, entry into the Autumn Beer Fest is free and it’s just pay as you go.
